Accepting the proposition of W.A. Myrick, for the bandling of
MogOOO, nO Str- et Improvement Bonds and $10#00N OO Water Works
Improvement Bonds, of the 4ity of Lubbockf Texas, and declaring
an Emergency.
Whereas the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, has been
endeavoring without success to sell and dispose of $1000000*00
Water Works Improvement Bonds of said City, and
Whereas 74A* Myrick has submitted a proposition of date of Aug.
189 1920, for the handling of said Sonde, which proposition the City
Commission deems it to the best interest of said City to accept.
Now therefore be it ordained by the City Co -mission of the 4i ty
of Lubbock, TexRog that said proposition be accepted and said bonds
be awarded to V.A. Myrick under his said proposition and that the sum
of 110#000*00 be appropriated out of the General bound to cover the
expense of handling the $100&000*00 Street Improvement Bonds and the
sum of 11000*00 be appropriated out of the General Fund to cover
the expense of handling the -1100,000#00 Water Works Improvement Bonds
nd same shall be paid to said W.A. Myrick According to the terms
of said proposition*
The fact that the Gity of Lubbock is in urgent need of funds to meet
accruing payments for Street and Water Forks Improvements creates
an emergency and a public necessity that the rule requiring Ordinances
to be read at more than one meeting of the City Commission before final
passage be suspended and that this Ordinance be passed at the meeting
of *k its introduction and be in effect at once and it is so ordered.
