AN ORDINANCE VACATING CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE STREETS IN THE RICHNIDND
SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK BETWEEN BLOCKS ELEVEN FIVE FOUR
THREE SIX TEN SEVEN AND TWO IN SAID ADDITION SITUATED NORTH OF THE RIGHT
OF WAY OF THE SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY.
BE IT ORDAINED EY THE CITY COMMIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TE]LAS
FIRST. That whereas, W. A. Bacon, is the owner of all of Blocks Numbered
Eleven, five, three, four, six, and ten and that parts of Blocks two and
seven in the Richmond Second Addition to the town of Lubbock, Texas, situated
North of the right of way of the Santa Fe Railway C mpany and desires to have
the streets between said Blocks and parts of Blocks vacated, abandoned and
closed by the City of Lubbock, and it appearing to the City Commissioners in
meeting regularly assembled that it is to the best interest of the City of Lu:
to vacate close and abandon said streets, it is therefore ordered that said
streets be and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned, closed and abolished.
SECOND. That the City of Lubbock does hereby relinquish unto said W. A. Bacon,
his heirs and assigns, all of its rights, titles, interest and easements in and
to said Streets North of the Santa Fe Railway between said Blocks eleven, five,
Three, four, six and ten, seven, and two in said Richmond Second Addition to
said City of Lubbock and said W. A. Bacon his heirs and assigns, are hereby
authorized to take possession of said street and to close same.
THIRD. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and
approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 23RD DAY OF MARCH, A.D. 1920.
