ORDINANCE NO. 93
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE BURNING OF TRASH, SHAVINGS OR OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL
IN ANY ALLEY, STREET, OR PUBLIC PLACE, AND PROHIBITING THE DOING OF ANYTHING
ON PREMISES LIABLE TO CAUSE FIRE IN SURROUNDING BUILDINGS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
THEREFOR.
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City ❑f Lubbock:--
1. IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL for any person within the limits ❑f the City of Lubbock,
outside of a building, to burn any trash, shavings, or ❑ther combustible material, or
light, or make or cause to be lighted or made, any fire in any street, alley, or public
place; or t❑ build or made any fire, deposit any ashes ❑r hot embers, ❑r t❑ do
anything on any premises liable to cause fire in the surrounding buildings, or cause,
or authorize the same to be done.
2. Any person violating any of the provisions ❑f Section One ❑f this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty ❑f a misdemeanor, and on convicion thereof, shall be fined in
any sum not exceeding One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars.
3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and publication
as required by Law.
