HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 059-1911 - Bids For Building Water Tower And Tank. - 08/01/1911ORDINANCE NO. 59 WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, held on the 1st day of August, A.D. 1911, the said City Council opened all bids presented for the building of the Water Tower and tank for the said City and after mature deliberation and discussion it appeardd to the said City Council that the proposition and bid submitted by the Chicago Bridge and Iron Works, of Chicago, Ill. was the most advantageious to the said City of Lubbock: IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, that the bid of the said Chicago Bridge and Iron Works, be and the same is hereby accepted and that the Mayor is hereby instructed and empowered to enter into a written contract with the said Chicago Bridge and Iron Works for the water Tower and Tanis according to their proposition and bid as the same is now on file in the office of the City Secretary and on the terms in the said Proposition.
