WHEREAS at a regular meeting ❑f the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas,
held ❑n the loth day of July, A.D. 1911, the said City Council did, by motion duly
carried instruct the Secretary to advertise for and receive sealed bids for the
construction and installation ❑f the Sewerage and Water Works System for the said
City of Lubbock, for thirty days from said date and the said motion provided that
the bids so received should be opened and the contract let on the 14th day of
August, A.D. 1911, and,
WHEREAS, since said time, on the 14th day of July, A.D. 1911, E.L. Dalton and
Eugene Campbell have submitted a written proposition and bid t❑ construct and install
said Water Works and Sewer System, which said bid is considered by the City Council
of the said City to be a resonable and equitable bid and advantageous to the City,
It is therefore Ordained by the City Council ❑f the City of Lubbock, Texas,
that the aforesaid motion be repealed and that the bid of the said Dalton & Camp-
bell for the construction and installation of the sewer and Water Works systems
be accepted and that the Mayor is hereby instructed and empowered to enter into
a written contract with the said Dalton & Campbell for the construction and in-
stallation of the said Water Works and Sewer Systems in accordance with the plans
and specifications on file in the office of the City Secretary and on the terms
specified in the bid of said Dalton & Campbell.
