HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 044-1911 - Levy And Collection Of An Ad Valorem Tax For The Construction Of Roads, ETC. - 01/09/1911ORDINANCE No. 44 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF AN AD VALOREM TAR FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADS, BRIDGES, AND STREETS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, ON ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, NOT EXEMPT FROM TAXATION BY THE CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1911. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION L. An Ad Valorem tax of fifteen cents on the one hundred dollar valuation of all real and personal property in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas is hereby levied for the year 1911, for the construction and improvement of the roads, brigges, and streets in the City of Lubbock, and shall be collected as is provided by Law and the Ordinances of this City.
