HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 032-1910 - Providing For The Levy And Collection Of An Annual Ad Valorem Tax. - 01/13/1910ORDINANCE NO. 32 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF AN ANNUAL AD VALOREM TAX FOR GENERAL PURPOSES ON ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, NOT EXEMPT FROM TAXATION BY THE LAWS AND CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1910 AND FIXING THE RATE THEREFOR. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. An annual Ad Valorem tax of one fourth of one percent, on the assessed valuation of all real and personal property in the City of Lubbock, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and the laws of the State of Texas, is hereby levied for the year 1910, for general purposes, and shall be collected as is provided by law and the ordinances of the City of Lubbock. The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly passed and adopted by the consent and vote of more than two thirds of the Aldermen of the said City, at a regular meeting of the said City Council on the 13th day of Jan., A.D. 1910.
