HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 031-1910 - Levy And Collection Of Ad Velorem Tax, For Public Improvements, ETC. - 01/13/1910ORDINANCE NO. 31 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF AN ANNUAL AD VALOREM TAX, FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, ON ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, NOT EXEMPT FROM TAXATION BY THE CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1910 AND FIXING THE RATE THEREFOR. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. That an Ad Valorem tax of one fourth of one percent, on the assessed valuation of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Lubbock, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas, is hereby levied for the year 1910, for public improve- ments and shall be collected as is provided by Law and the Ordinances of the City of Lubbock, The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, by the consent and vote of more than two thirds of the Aldermen elected and at a regular meeting thereof on the 13th day of Jan., A.D. 1910 and is hereby approved by me.
