HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 022-1909 - Levy And Collection Of An Ad Valorem Tax In The City Of Lubbock. - 09/14/1909ORDINANCE NO. 22 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF AN AD VALOREM TAX IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1st, 1909, TO DECEMBER 31st, 1909, AND FIRING THE RATE THEREFOR. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: Section 1. An ad Valorem tax of one-eigth of one percent on the value of all real and personal property in the City of Lubbock, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of the State, is hereby levied for the year 1909, beginning July 1st, 1909 and ending December 31st, 1909: said as valorem tax to be levied upon the basis of property valuations in said City on the first day of July 1909.
