AN ORDINANCE TAXING BILLIARD, POOL, PIGEON HOLE, AND OTHER GAMBLING TABLES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
Article 1. That there shall be levied and collected from every person,
firm, company or association of persons, an�annual occupation tax of ten
dollars which shall be paid in advance, for every billiard, bagatelle, pigeon
hole, devil -among -the -tailors, or jenny-lind table, and pool table or anything
of the kind, used for profit in the City of Lubbock. And any such table used
in connection with any drinking saloon or other place of business where intoxi-
cating liquors, cigars, or other things of value are sold or given away, or upon
which any money or any other thing of value is paid shall be regarded as used
for profit.
Passed and approved and adopted this the 25th day of June, A.D. 19091
