HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 013-1909 - Providing For The Public Safety. - 06/05/1909ORDINANCE NO. 13 II AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY. # BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: Article 1. That any person playing ball either by batting or throwing the same within two blocks of the Public Square shall upon conviction for same be fined not less than one nor less than ten dollars. Article 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to leave standing unhitch- ed without dropping traces any horse, mare, or mule on any public street or alley within the City of Lubbock and any one so doing, upon conviction shall be fined not less than one dollar nor more than five dollars. Article 3. It shall be unlawful to hitch any horse or mule to any shade tree, awning post, or porch post on or along any of the streets of this City, and any one violating this Article shall be fined not less than one nor more than ten dollars. Article 4. It shall be unlawful for any one toride or drive in any vehicle within the City Limits at a rate exceeding eight miles an hour, and any violation of this Article shall be fined not less than one dollar nor more than twenty-five dollars.
