AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A REINVESTMENT ZONE WITHIN THE CITY O�'
LUBBOCK AS AUTHORIZED BY CHAPTER 312 OF THE TEXAS TAX CODE;
DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZONE; DESCRIBING THE ELIGIBILITY
OF SAID ZONE FOR COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL TAX ABATEMENT; PROVIDING
A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, Chapter 312 of the Texas Tax Code authorizes the City Council of the City o
Lubbock to designate a Reinvestment Zone for commercial-industrial tax abatement purposes; anc
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has establishcd its intent to participate in tax abatement
Resolution and has established guidelines and criteria for commercial-industrial tax abaterr
within the City of Lubbock; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock declared its intent to create a Reinvesl
Zone by its adoption of Resolution No. 2023-R0315 on June 13, 2023, authorizing the
Secretary to send a Notice of Intent to all taxing units levying taxes on the real property lo
within the zone; and
WHEREAS, the boundaries of the Reinvestment Zone were described in the Notice of
attached to and madc a part of Resolution No. 2023-R0315; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing to consider the establishment of saic
Reinvestment Zone which was conducted on June 27, 2023, prior to the adoption of this Ordinance
and
WHEI2EAS, the City Council found, at the conclusion of said hearing, that the improvemf
sought for the property within the Reinvestment Lone are feasible, practical, and would benefit
land; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock has determined and finds that the rea
property to be included in the Reinvestment Zone will be reasonably likely as a result of thf
designation to contribute to the retention or expansion of primary employment and woulc
contribute to the economic development of the City of Lubbock; and NOW THEREFORE;
BE IT O1tDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1: THAT by and under the authority of Chapter 312 of the Texas Tax Code, th�
described and depicted real property in �xhibit 1 is located within the City of Lubbock, County o
Lubbock, Texas, and is hereby designated as a Reinvestment Zone. The name of the Reinvestmen
Zone is the Dura-Linc, LLC Reinvestment Zone
A description and depiction of the area designated as the Reinvestment Zone is attached
and is incorporated in this Ordinance as Fxhibit 1.
SECTION 2. THAT the area of the Reinvestment Zone will be reasonably likely as a result o
the designation to contribute to the retention or expansion of primary employment and wil
contribute to the economic development of the City of Lubbock.
SECTION 3. THAT should any paragraph, section, sentence, phrase, clause, or word of thi
Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinanc�
shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and direc
to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provi
by law.

THENCE N. 46°28'24" E., along the South right-of-way line of said Lubbock Business Park Boulevard, and the
Northern boundary of said Lot 15, a distance of 73.66 feet to a"crow's fooY' found at the most Northerly Northwest
corner of said Lot 15 and this tract;
THENCE N. 87°39'33" E., continuing along said South right-of-way line, and the Northern boundary of said Lot 15,
