Said Ratification of General Warranty Deed is attached hereto and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the Council. Box 2000 y��Q/ Lubbock, Texas 79457 V111, 7701?AGE294 -^ RATIFICATION OF GENERAL WARRANTY DEED 2,'3'6( ';� KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT, WHEREAS, on the 6th day of June, 2002, the City of Lubbock executed and delivered that certain General Warranty Deed to Market Lubbock Economic Development Corporation, d/b/a Market Lubbock Inc., a Texas not -for -profit organization, conveying the lands described on Exhibit "A", attached hereto (the "General Warranty Deed"); WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Lubbock, was duly authorized to execute the General Warranty Deed by Resolution No. 2002-R0214, passed by the City Council of the City of Lubbock on May 23, 2002; WHEREAS, nothwithstanding the authority of the Mayor of the City of Lubbock to execute the General Warranty Deed, the City of Lubbock now desires to ratify the General Warranty Deed to remove any uncertainty regarding such matter. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of One and No/100 Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of Lubbock does hereby ratify, adopt and confirm the General Warranty Deed, in all of its terms and provisions, and acknowledges the validity, effect, and enforceability of the General Warranty Deed.
