RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, certain block grant funds in the amount of One Hundred Seven
Thousand Seventeen and No/100 Dollars ($107,017) (the "Funds") is designated for
allocation to the City of Lubbock through the Criminal Justice division of the State of
Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock desires to waive their right to apply for a
Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock designates Lubbock County as the recipient of
the Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock agrees to appoint one member to serve on the
Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition created by the County of Lubbock; NOW
THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby waives its right to apply
for a Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant and designates Lubbock County as
the recipient of the Funds. Be it further resolved that the Juvenile Sergeant of the city
of Lubbock Police Department is hereby designated to serve on the Juvenile Crime
Enforcement Coalition as created by the County of Lubbock.
Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of January 2002.

Application Waiver for the
Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant
City of Lubbock waives its eligibility to apply for a separate
(Name of city, county or Native American Tribe)
grant, but would like to designate County of Lubbock as the
(Name of the jurisdiction to receive waived funds)
recipient of the allocated amount. The City Council of City of Lubbock
(Name of jurisdicition waiving funds)
has passed a resolution that waives the right to apply, names County of Lubbock
(Name of jurisdiction to receive waived funds)
as the designee for the waived funds, agrees to participate in the Juvenile Crime
Enforcement Coalition (JCEC) created by the designee and names the representatives to
serve on the designee's JCEC. City of Lubbock has provided a

copy of the resolution to the designee to include in their application forAie JAIBG funds.
