RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, Change Order No. 1 to the
Contract between the City of Lubbock and Hunter Construction for construction services
at Bill McAlister Park, and all related documents. Said Change Order No. 1 is attached
hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included
in the minutes of the City Council.
Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of January , 2002.

PROJECT NAME: Bill McAlister Park
Description of change caused by conditions encountered during construction not covered by the
specifications and drawings of the project: Increase concrete, increase width of entrance, change
conduit, revised irrigation, increase main line, 6" water meter, additional wiring for new valves, installation
of Tifton 10 Sod, lower the dirt in the right-of-way, reduce the original contract of 66 trees to 44 trees,
delete hydro -mulching of playing field turf and warm-up areas, delete all turf maintenance and watering
equipment. Tifton 10 Sod installed on all outfield turf areas of three baseball fields. Dormant sod installed
as specified (2' x 100' rolls) and overseeded in annual rye grass .

2001,the following changes were verballyapproved-and upon
the next City Council meeting, a change order in'the amount
of $88,985.00, will be issued. The changes.,are as listed.

1. For all extra concrete to enlarge the.flatwork under
and around the Pavilion from 1041 x 1041 to 1151 x
and to.increase the sidewalk. for. the. fir,elane
from 15' wide to 201 wide and to add two concrete curb.
and gutter islands in the parking lot.
2. To increase the width of the entrance to the Parking
Lot and dirt work revolving around two added islands
in the Parking Lot.
3. To change the 1" underground conduit to controller and
Pavilion to 1 31".

6. Regarding the -substitution of Irrigation'Booster-Pump: r
The Chameleon Pumping Station has-a`lower'.initial
cost, which'canrbe`usedKto reduce the':contract,price ;

as submitted. The"Cham.eleon Pump is` -available from a
local supplier and can be. serviced by,this local`
supplier which -will make long term maintenance more
prompt and economical.
7. Substitute Hunter I-20 Stainless rotors for Toro 640 -
rotors and Rain Bird 1804 pop-up sprinklers as shown
on sprinkler plans revised 11/15/01. Addition of a =� "
new valve to provide drip irrigation for all trees and - �y
possible beds. Addition of new valve for Rain Bird
1804 pop-up sprinklers in new parking islands.
