BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Correction Quitclaim Deed in favor of
Manuel G. and Rosalinda Villarreal, which Deed is attached hereto and shall be spread upon
the minutes of this Council and constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied
herein in detail.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Lubbock, Texas, on or about July 14, 1994,
executed on behalf of the City a Quitclaim Deed recorded in Volume 4632, Page 207 of
the Real Property Records for Lubbock County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, there was an inadvertent error in the legal description of the property
conveyed or attempted to be conveyed in such Deed; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to correct the error in the legal description of the
property incorrectly described in Volume 4632, Page 207 of the Real Property Records,
NOW THEREFORE, the following quitclaim deed is herewith executed and filed in
correction thereof and in lieu of said deed executed on or about July 14, 1994, and filed
of record in Lubbock County, to wit:

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of
Lubbock, State of Texas, hereinafter called "GRANTOR," for and in consideration of the
sum of TEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS (10.00) and other good and valuable
consideration to GRANTOR in hand paid by MANUEL G. and ROSALINDA
VILLARREAL, hereinafter called "GRANTEES," the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE, and
FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said GRANTEES, all of GRANTOR'S rights, title
and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
County of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a point which bears N 87°39' 19" W. a distance of 14.91 feet
from the original Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 5, Marlin Park Addition to the

THENCE N. 87039' 19" W., along the South line of said Lot 1, a distance of 39.09
feet to a point for the Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 02020'41" E. a distance of 132.50 feet to a point in the North line of
Lot 1, in the South line of Harvard Street for the Northwest comer of this tract;
THENCE S. 87039' 19" E., along the North line of said Lot 1, and along the
South line of Harvard Street, a distance of 12.14 feet to a point;
THENCE S. 71 °09'03" E. a distance of 28.16 feet to a point in the East line of
Lot 1, in the West line of Detroit Avenue for the most easterly comer of this tract;
THENCE S. 02022'03" E., along the East line of said Lot 1, and along the West
line of Detroit Avenue, a distance of 124.50 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the
rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said
GRANTEES, their heirs and assigns forever, so that neither the GRANTOR, its
successors or assigns, nor any persons claiming under GRANTOR shall at any time
hereafter have, claim or demand any right to the title to the aforesaid premises or
appurtenances or any part thereof.
