HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 3990 - Set Public Hearing-Reinvestment Zone-Tract 6, Planters Industrial Park Addition - 10_06_1992Resolution No. 3990 October 6, 1992 Item #22 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock does hereby declare its intent to hold a public hearing pursuant to V.T.C.A., Tax Code Section 312.201 for the purposes of determining whether or not to create a reinvestment zone; and WHEREAS, the above cited section of the Tax Code requires that a time, date and place be selected for such public hearing; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing shall be given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City and to all presiding officers of all governing bodies accessing taxes within the proposed boundaries of the zone; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock is desirous that notice be given of the public hearing to consider the establishment of a reinvestment zone as required by law; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT a public hearing be held before the City Council of the City of Lubbock on the 22nd day of October at 11:30 o'clock A M. for the purpose of interested persons -To speak and present evidence for or against the establishment of a reinvestment zone within and upon the following described property: All of Tract 6, Planters Industrial Park Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. The public hearing shall be held in the City Council Chambers at 1625 13th Street, Lubbock, Texas at the date and time above set forth. SECTION 2. THAT the form Notice attached hereto as Exhibit A shall be completed in accordance with the time, date and location of the public hearing hereby ordered held in this matter and the City Secretary shall cause a copy of said notice to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City not later than the 7th day before the date of the hearing herein set and shall also deliver within the same time period before the date set for public hearing a copy of said notice to each presiding office of every governing body of each taxing unit within the proposed boundaries of said proposed reinvestment zone. SECTION 3.
