HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2022-O0175 - Budget Amendment #7 - 01/10/2023First Reading December 13, 2022 Item No. 5.3 Second Reading January 10, 2023 Item No. 5.2 ORDINANCE NO. 2022-00175 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE WATER/WASTEWATER FUND; PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2022-23 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2022-23 (Budget Amendment #7) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Amend the FY 2022-23 Water Treatment Operating Budget in the Water/Wastewater Fund by increasing the appropriation by $901,455, from $10,394,336 to $11,295,791, for increased chemical costs. II. Amend the FY 2022-23 Water Production Operating Budget in the Water/Wastewater Fund by increasing the appropriation by $109,320, from $2,300,747 to $2,410,067, for increased chemical costs. III. Amend the FY 2022-23 Water Reservoir Operating Budget in the Water/Wastewater Fund by increasing the appropriation by $288,075, from $3,739,396 to $4,027,471 for increased chemical costs. IV. Amend the FY 2022-23 Wastewater Treatment Operating Budget in the Water/Wastewater Fund by increasing the appropriation by $663,662, from $8,531,579 to $9,195,241, for increased chemical costs. V. Amend the FY 2022-23 Northwest Water Reclamation Plant Operating Budget in the Water/Wastewater Fund by increasing the appropriation by $16,368, from $1,361,192 to $1,377,560, for increased chemical costs. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
