HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 937 - Right Of Way Offer - Minnie H Jackson - Water Pump Station Site, Sec 9 Blk E - 10_08_1981R JWF : j s RESOLUTION 937 - 10/8/81 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, lands as hereinafter described are needed for a water pump stat for the expansion of the public municipal water utility system of the City of Lubbock, NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1: THAT the Right -of -Way Department of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to purchase from the owner, Minnie Helen Jackson, a 5.14 acre tract of land out of the NE 1/4 of Section 9, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, for the purposes stated in the preamble hereof. SECTION 2: THAT the consideration to be paid the owner for such land purchase is $15,420.00, which is hereby determined to be the fair market value thereof. Passed by the City Council this 8th day of October 1981. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging to the said CITY OF LUBBOCK, its successors and assigns, forever and the said GRANTOR does hereby bind herself, her heirs and assigns' -to WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND all and singular the said premises unto the said CITY OF LUBBOCK, its successors and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same, or any part thereof.
