That the City of Lubbock through its Right -of -Way Department offer Cecil Jennings, Inc., the sum of $7,056.00, which is hereby determined to be the fair market value of the land hereinafter described based on appraisal thereof, fee simple title to such land to be purchased for park purposes, and to be described as follows: A 1.764 acre parcel of land located in Section 26, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears N. 00° 01' 31 " W., 2,622.49 feet and S. 89° 58' E., 2,610.27 feet from the Southwest corner of Section 26, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE South a distance of 35.61 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 239.43 feet, a central angle of 29° 57' 46" tangent lengths of 64.07 feet and a chord distance of 123.79 feet; THENCE South a distance of 12.00 feet; THENCE S. 710 11' 03" W. a distance of 373.99 feet; THENCE North a distance of 288.00 feet; THENCE S. 890 58' E. a distance of 322.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Section 2. That such purchase is for a lawful public municipal purpose. Passed this 26th day of March , 1981. -ATTEST: .
