Quan - Land In JWJ SD & Charles Addition - 01_10_1980RESOLUTION #382 - 1/10/80 JWF:bs RESOLUTION i i BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Special Warranty Deed in favor of Ted W. Quan, a copy of which is attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Ci Attorney RESOLUTION #382. - 1/10/80 SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS X COUNTY OF LUBBOCK X KNOW ALL MEN M THESE PRESENTS: That the City of Lubbock, a home rule municipality of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, hereinafter called GRANTORS (whether one or more), for and in consideration of TWO THOUSAND AND NO/100THS ($2,000.00) DOLLARS cash and other good and valuable cash consideration to GRANTORS in hand paid by Ted.W. Quan of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, hereinafter called GRANTEES (whether one or more), receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien, expressed or implied, is retained or shall exist, and the further consideration of the assumption of the outstanding balance due on the note hereinafter described, have SOLD, GRANTED AND CONVEYED, and by these presents do SELL, GRANT AND CONVEY unto the above named GRANTEES, the following described property, to wit:. BEGINNING at a point which bears North 138.00 feet and West 235.00 feet from the southeast corner of Block 2, John W. Jarrett's Subdi- vision, same being the most southerly southwest corner of Lot 1, Charles Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West a distance of 35.00 feet; THENCE North 45° West a distance of 7.07 feet; THENCE North a distance of 45.00 feet to a point in the boundary line of Lot 1, Charles Addition; THENCE East a distance of 40.00 feet to an inside corner of Lot 1, Charles Addition; THENCE South a distance of 50.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the above named GRANTEES, GRANTEES' heirs and assigns forever. And said above named GRANTORS do hereby bind GRANTORS, GRANTORS' successors and assigns to WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND, all and singular the said premises unto the above named..GRANTEES, GRANTEES' heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same, or any part thereof by, through and under GRANTORS.
