HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 118 - Amendment To Annual Application - HUD - CDBG Program FY 1979-80 - 04_12_1979II _ LGB:hw RESO #118 - A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ANNUAL APPLICATION FOR 1979-80 INCREASING THE ENTITLEMENT AMOUNT BY 7' $105,000.00 TO BE PLACED IN THE CONTINGENCY FUND; ASSURANCES CONTAINED IN SUCH APPLICATION AND REGULATIONS TO BE UNCHANGED. WHEREAS, Title I of the Community Development Act of 1977, Public Law 93- 383, provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock for the Community Development Annual Application for 1979-80 to be increased by $105,000.00, said amount to be placed in a_contingency fund; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the Community Development Annual Application for 1979-80 increasing the entitlement amount $105,000.00 to be placed in a contingency fund; THAT said amendment will not affect any existing projects or activities funded under the Community Development Program and that all assurances made by the City of Lubbock regarding its compliance with federal regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements shall remain unchanged.
