RE 19•13 RESOLUTION APPROVING PARKWAY PLACE LUBBOCK, LLC AT 1826 PARKWAY DRIVE EAST -SIDE GRANT PROGRAM PERMITTABLE GRANT THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK At a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of MARKET LUBBOCK ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, INC., a Texas nonprofit corporation (MLI), on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, held in conformity with the bylaws, after due notice as therein provided, a quorum being present and acting, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: WHEREAS, MLI presented to members of the Board the proposal of a possible Economic Development Grant and Contract to the Parkway Place Lubbock, LLC led by Gill Holdings and North & East Lubbock Investment Inc, located at 1826 Parkway Drive. The terms and conditions of such Economic Development Grant and Contract, other than the normal terms and conditions applicable to all such Economic Development Grant and Contracts by the Corporation, are described generally as follows, to wit: Grant the Parkway Place Lubbock, LLC, $10,220 for renovating the building at 1826 Parkway Drive, which is located in the East Lubbock Neighborhood Empowerment Zone as designed by the City of Lubbock with scope of work including new drywall, doors, windows, metal framing, electrical work and more which totals $102,203 in permittable expenses, once proof of payment has been submitted for the building located at 1826 Parkway Drive, Lubbock, Texas. WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of MLI finds that an Economic Development Grant and Contract offering the incentive for providing assistance to renovate their facility meet and comply with the qualifications and purposes of the Corporation for the granting of such Economic Development Grants and Contracts. Upon Motion by Director, Mr. Calvin Davis, and Seconded by Director, Ms. Regina Johnston, IT WAS RESOLVED that MLI offer and, if accepted by Recipient, enter into an Economic Grant and Contract with Parkway Place Lubbock, LLC led by Gill Holdings and North & East Lubbock Investment, Inc., at 1826 Parkway Drive, Lubbock, Texas.
