RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has determined that the public need ,
necessity, and welfare demand that its Lubbock Regional Airport be further
expanded, extended, and improved and that a necessary part of such project
is the improvement of Farm to Market Public Road and/or Highway No. 2641
in order to provide better public access for the traveling public to such Air-
port, which is a public purpose and a lawful municipal purpose, and such
project is to be accomplished by the City of Lubbock acquiring lands needed
for such public purposes and the Texas Highway Department constructing
or causing to be constructed said F. M. 2641 improvements as aforesaid; an ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby determin
that it would be and will be to the best public interest and for public and
municipal purposes to proceed with the acquisition of lands as needed for
such purposes as aforesaid; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
Section 1. THAT the fee simple title to the following described real
estate located in Lubbock County, Texas be acquired for municipal purposes
and public use and purposes as set forth in the preamble hereof, to -wit:
TRACT I.
18.260 acres of land more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears NORTH 01 ° 55' 40"
EAST a distance of 2, 649.52 feet from the southwest
corner of Section 1, Block D-3, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE along the z section line of Section 1, Block D-3
at a bearing of NORTH 870 55' 16" EAST a distance of
463. 21 feet to a point in the i section line of Section 1,
Block D-3;
THENCE a bearing of SOUTH 840 04' 37" EAST a dis-
tance of 325. 24 feet to a point, the beginning of a 2, 361. 8312
foot radius curve to the right, center of said curve bears
SOUTH 050 55' 23" WEST a distance of 2, 361. 8312 feet;
THENCE around said 2, 361. 8�12 foot curve to the right
an arc distance of 939. 06 feet to a point the end of said
2, 361. 8312 foot radius curve, center of said curve bears
SOUTH 280 42' 13" WEST a distance of 2, 361. 8312 feet;
THENCE a bearing of SOUTH 610 17 T 47" EAST A distance
of 4, 001.68 feet to a point in the east line of Section 1,
Block D-3;

THENCE along the east line of Section 1, Block D-3, a
bearing of SOUTH 01 ° 58' 09 �' WEST a distance of 156. 76
feet to a point;
THENCE a bearing of NORTH 61 ° 171147" WEST a distance
of 4, 072. 19 feet to a point, the beginning of a 2, 221. 8312
foot radius curve to the left,tthe centerof said curve bears
SOUTH 28 ° 42' 13" WEST a distance of 2, 221.8312 feet;
THENCE around said 2, 221. 8312 foot curve to the left an
arc distance of 883. 39 feet to a point at the end of said
2, 221. 8312 foot radius curve, center of said curve has a
bearing of SOUTH 05 ° 55' 23" WEST a distance of 2, 221. 8312
feet;
THENCE a bearing of NORTH 840 04' 37" WEST a distance
of 779. 80 feet to a point in the west line of Section 18 Block D-3;
THENCE along the west line of Section 1, Block D-3 a
bearing of NORTH 01 ° 55' 40" WEST a distance of 109. 21
feet to the point of beginning.
TRACT II.
A parcel containing 0.459 acre of land out of Section 1,
Block D-3, Lubbock County, Texas more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears NORTH 01 ° 58' 09"
East a distance of 589.41 feet along the East line of
Section 11, Block D-3; thence NORTH 61 ° 171 47" West
a distance of 1871.57 feet along the proposed North
Right of Way line of F. M. 2641 from the Southeast corner
of Section 1, Block D-3;
THENCE a bearing of NORTH 28 ° 42' 13" East a distance
of 400 feet to a point;
THENCE a bearing of SOUTH 610 17' 47" East a distance of
50 feet to a point;
THENCE a bearing of SOUTH 28 ° 42' 13" West a distance of
400 feet to a point;
THENCE a bearing of NORTH 61 • 17' 47" West a distance of
50 feet to the point of beginning.

Section 2. THAT the owners of said land, including Zada Beard, be
offered, through the Right -of -Way Department of the City of Lubbock the
amount of $33, 500.00 which is the amount appraised as the value and total
damages for the fee simple title and acquisition of said real estate hereinabc
described for the purposes herein stated, for the use and benefit of the City
of Lubbock, and unless accepted the City Attorney is hereby authorized and
instructed to institute Condemnation Proceedings to acquire the fee simple
title to said real estate as hereinabove described for the purposes aforesaid
