RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IV, Section 5 of the Amended and Restated Bylaws of the
Market Lubbock Economic Development Corporation (the "Corporation"), the City Council
of the City of Lubbock (the "City Council"), as the Corporation's authorizing unit, has the
authority to approve all programs and expenditures of the Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the public to approve the
program or expenditure, as proposed to the City Council by the Corporation, as set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RE SOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Downtown Permittable Grant program or expenditure of the Corporation, in the
amount set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to be
provided to Ben Edwards, P.A. d.b.a. Veritas Medical, is hereby approved pursuant to
Section 5 of the Amended and Restated Bylaws of the Corporation,

Project 1316 Texas Ave [Permittable]
Veritas Medical, a holistic medical practice, is renovating the building at 1316 Texas Ave, located within
the Downtown TIF. The scope of work will include the renovation of the existing residential space into a
clinic, including all code upgrades required for the change of occupancy, including a new elevator, fire
suppression system, electrical and HVAC upgrades and new lighting. The clinic will consist of a
laboratory, infusion space, demonstration kitchen and clinic support on the ground floor. The second
floor will include practitioner offices and support spaces. Expenses will total $941,904.
The M L I Board is being asked to consider a Downtown Permittable Grant for Veritas Medical totaling
$94,190 at 1316 Texas Ave.
