Contract Specifications 1. General 1.1 The City of Lubbock is seeking bids to establish firm pricing for one-year, with the option to renew annually for up to two additional one-year periods, for litter collection at the Sam Wahl Recreational Area at Lake Alan Henry. This service will provide for the weekly collection of litter, trash, and garbage deposited upon the grounds of the Sam Wahl Public Access Recreational Area at Lake Alan Henry. Public use of the recreational area has increased by approximately 30% per year, resulting in an increase in the amount and distribution of litter and trash on the grounds. Litter and trash collection from the grounds of the Recreational Area is necessary to keep the area clean, sanitary, and free of putrescent trash. Contractor will provide their own Insurance, vehicle, crew and crew leader, trash bags, and tools used by the crew to pick up litter. Each crewmember and foreman must wear a bright orange safety vest at all times while on the property. Contractor's vehicle must be clearly marked as belonging to the contractor. Contractor will perform service regardless of weather or road conditions on the scheduled day of service. During March through October service Will be performed on specified days of the week regardless of Federal, State, or Local holidays.
