RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULT
OF THE CITY RUNOFF ELECTION HELD JUNE 9, 2007.
BE IT REMEMBERED THAT, on the 14th day of June , 2007, the City
Council of the City of Lubbock met at 7:30 o'clock a. in. at the regular meeting
place of the City Council in the City of Lubbock Municipal Building with the following
members present, to -wit:
David A. Miller
Linda DeLeon
Jim Gilbreath
Phyllis Jones
John Leonard
Floyd Price
On Motion of John Leonard . seconded by
Floyd Price , it is unanimously carried that the returns of the
City Runoff Election held June 9, 2007, for the election of a City Council Member,
Distract 3, as provided by law, be opened and canvassed, and the results of the election be
declared therefrom; and said returns having been duly canvassed, it is found that the votes
for the candidates are as follows:
CANDIDATES FOR COUNCIL DISTRICT 3 VOTES RECEIVED
Todd R. Klein ............................. 1,061
Kevin Glasheen ........................... 967
TOTAL VOTES CAST IN ELECTION 2,028
And it further appearing that said election was duly held as provided by law and
that the following person received a majority of the votes of the sum total of votes cast for
Council Member, District 3:
PERSON RECEIVIN IG MAJORITY VOTE
COUNCIL DISTRICT 3 TODD R. KLEIN
IT IS THEREFORE FOUND, DECLARED AND CERTIFIED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the person named above as receiving the majority vote for Council
Member, District 3 is duly elected to the office indicated.
