RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed
to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Lewis
Garnett and Robert Corcorran, attached hereto. Said Quitclaim Deed is attached hereto
and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the
minutes of the Council.

QUITCLAIM DEED
STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
WHEREAS, by Dedication Deed dated July 17, 2002, and recorded in Volume
7756, Page 67, Real Property Records, Lubbock County, Texas, Lewis Garnett and
Robert Corcorran attempted to dedicate the property described as Tract A, Winghaven
Estates, a subdivision of Section 34, Block AK, Lubbock County, Texas (the "Attempted
Dedicated Property") to the public;
WHEREAS, acceptance of the attempted dedication by the City of Lubbock is a
necessary element to a legal and binding dedication;
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has not accepted the attempt to dedicate the
Attempted Dedicated Property and hereby rejects said offer to dedicate the Attempted
Dedicated Property;
WHEREAS, due to the fact that the attempted offer of dedication made by Lewis
Garnett and Robert Corcorran has not been accepted, the attempted dedication is invalid;
and
WHEREAS, to add certainty to title, the City of Lubbock now desires to
quitclaim any interest it may have in the Attempted Dedicated Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Lubbock, a Texas home rule municipal
corporation, as Transferor, hereby QUITCLAIMS to Lewis Garnett and Robert
Corcorran, whose mailing address is 4211 Boston Avenue, Lubbock, Texas 79413, as
Transferee, all Transferor's right, title and interest in and to that certain real property
attempted to be dedicated by the Dedication Deed dated July 17, 2002, and recorded in
Volume 7756, Page 67, Real Property Records, Lubbock County, Texas.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of Transferor's right, title and interest in and to
the Attempted Dedicated Property, together with all and singular the rights and
appurtenances thereto. Neither Transferor nor Transferor's successors and assigns shall
have, claim or demand any right, title, or interest in all or any part of the Attempted
Dedicated Property.
