RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUB13OCK:
Whereas, a Right -of -Way Deed exists in Section 15, Block B, Lubbock County,
Texas, said right-of-way was dedicated by plat as public right-of-way and filed and
recorded on November 5, 1924, in Volume 92, Page 610, Deed Records of Lubbock
County, Texas, and adjoining that tract of land conveyed to Murphy Addition, L.L.C. in
Special Warranty Deed recorded in Volume 8473, Page 110, real property records of
Lubbock County, Texas;
Whereas, the land specified is no longer needed for the use of citizens as a road;
Whereas, a release of the right-of-way would enable an abutting landowner more
efficient use of the land;
Whereas, the Texas Department of Transportation has made this request of the
City of Lubbock.
Whereas, the property descriptions for said right-of-way are attached in Exhibits
"A" & "B" of this resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lubbock does not
interpose any objection for the State to sell and release the said right-of-way to the
abutting landowner.

BEING a645 square foot tract of land out of the existing right of way of U,S. 62
(191' Street), said right of way was dedicated by plat as public right of way and flied
and recorded on November 5, 1924, in Volume 92, Page 610, Deed Records of
Lubbock County, Texas and being out of the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Block
B, Lubbock County, Texas, which said 645 square feet of land is more particulary
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 'Aff iron rod with cap, found in the existing South right of way line
of U.S. 62 for the Southwest and beginning corner of this tract, whence the original
Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place Addition bears West, 22.50 feet
and the Northwest comer of the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Block B bears
North, 30.00 feet and West, 52.50 feet;
(1) THENCE North, 9.52 feet to a 1/2" Iron rod with cap, set on the back of the
existing curb and gutter of U.S. 62 (191h Street) for the Northwest corner
of this tract;
(2) THENCE North 89043'54" East, along the back of the existing curb and
gutter of U.S. 62 (19t' Street) a distance of 66.69 feet to a "x" set in
concrete for the Northeast comer of this tract;
(3) THENCE South, 9.83 feet to a 1/2" Iron rod with cap, set on the existing
South right of way line of said U.S. 62 (19"' Street) for the Southeast
corner of this tract;
(4) THENCE West, along the existing South right of way line of said U.S. 62
(19t' Street) a distance of 66.69 feet to the point of beginning of which
contains an area of 645 square feet.
Bearings are relative to the final plat of Murphy Place Addition as recorded In Volume
256, Page 195, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas.
A plat of even survey date herewith accompanies this description.
