HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2012-R0144 - Approve CDSB Recommendations For Unspent Federa CDBG Funds - 03_29_2012Resolution No. 2012-RO144 March 29, 2012 Item No. 5.20 RESOLUTION IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock does hereby approve the Community Development and Service Board recommendations for the reallocation of unspent 2010-11 federal funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and all related documents. Said recommendations are attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. Renovations will include partitioning, indoor and outdoor painting and repairing. The facility will be used to conduct neighborhood meetings and cultural events for the public. Lyons Chapel Demolition Project -funds will be used for demolition of unused, outdated concrete slabs and foundations on an empty lot to clear it of debris and safety hazard. Project location is East 20' and MLK. City of Lubbock CD Housing Emergency Repair Program -City Council originally voted on July 14, 2011 to allocate $200,000 to this project during regular allocation process for FY 2011- 12. The funds for this project have been expended and the additional funds from reallocation are needed to continue the program and meet additional needs of the low-income.
