RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and
Education (TCLEOSE) is responsible for licensing law enforcement academies in the State of
Texas; and
WHEREAS, TCLEOSE has requested a Resolution from the governing body of the City
of Lubbock, Texas, reaffirming the establishment and continued existence of the municipality's
Police Academy; and
WHEREAS, such Academy was established in 1969 by the Lubbock City Council and
has been in existence and continuous operation since that year; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
THAT the Council hereby reaffirms the establishment and continued existence of the
City of Lubbock Police Academy.
Passed by the City Council this 10th day of July , 2003.
