RESOLUTION Item No. 34
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Federal Transit Administration Job
Access and Reverse Commute Program Grant Agreement (Project #TX-37-X027) by
and between the City of Lubbock (Citibus) and the Federal Transit Administration to
improve transportation services in Lubbock. A copy of said Grant Agreement and
associated documents are attached hereto, which Agreement shall be spread up on the
minutes of this Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall
constitute and be a part hereof as if fully copied herein in detail.

This grant application is now under review.
A project number will be issued when funding becomes available, all review comments
have been addressed and the certifications and assurances screen has been updated to
reflect FY 2003.

The FTA share in the amount of $460,000 is for operating assistance.
The Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) projected timetable for acting upon the subject
grant application is 60 days from the transmission date of this grant application. In order to
meet that timetable, the Department of Labor certification is requested no later than two
weeks prior to that date. Please establish a time schedule for negotiations pursuant to 29
CFR 215.3(d). Please advise us of the 49 U.S.C. Section 5333(b)terms and conditions for
inclusion in the grant contract.
