RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock, Texas, a Home Rule Municipality located in
Lubbock County, Texas, has determined and does hereby determine that the public needs,
safety and welfare demand and create a public necessity for the acquisition of additional
land for municipal public use and purposes, to -wit: for Memphis Avenue and 19'h Street
Right Hand Northbound Turn Lane and the City Council of said City finds it in the
public interest and for public purposes and municipal purposes to proceed with the
acquisition of lands as needed for such purposes as aforesaid; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the fee simple title to the tract of land further described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be acquired for public purposes and municipal purposes as
set forth in the preamble hereof.
SECTION 2. THAT the owner of said tract, being Murphy Addition, L.C.C.,
BE offered through the Right -of -Way Department of the City of Lubbock the amount of
$11,558.00 which is the amount appraised as the value and total damages for the fee
simple title and acquisition of said real estate purposes herein stated.

"TRACT A"
BEING a 228 square foot tract of land out of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place Addition,
to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 256, Page
195, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, which said 228 square feet of land is
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod with cap, found for the Northeast and beginning
corner of this tract, whence the original Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy
Place Addition bears West, 22.50 feet and the Northwest corner of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 15, Block B bears West, 52.50 feet and North, 30.00 feet;
(1) THENCE Southwesterly, along the arc of a curve to the left, a distance of
23.56 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap, found for a corner of this tract, said
curve having a radius of 15.00 feet and a chord that bears South
45000'00" West, 21.21 feet;
(2) THENCE South, 2.21 feet to a "arrow" cut in concrete, found for a corner
of this tract;
(3) THENCE Southwesterly, along the arc of a curve to the left, a distance of
6.31 feet to a "arrow" cut in concrete, found for a corner of this tract, said
curve having a radius of 21.59 feet and a chord that bears South
33039'42" West, 6.29 feet;
(4) THENCE Southwesterly, along the arc of a curve to the left, a distance of
13.16 feet to a PK nail, found in the West line of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy
Place Addition and being the existing East right of way line of Memphis
Avenue for the most Southerly corner of this tract, said curve having a
radius of 61.91 feet and a chord that bears South 17046'18" West, 13.14
feet;
(5) THENCE North, along the West line of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place
Addition and being the existing Eas right of way line of Memphis Avenue,
34.96 feet to a 1-1/2" pipe, found fbr the Northwest corner of this tract
and being the original Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place
Addition;
(6) THENCE East, along the North line of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place
Addition and being the South right of way line of U.S. Highway 62 (191n
Street) a distance of 22.50 feet to the point of beginning.

BEING a 291 square foot tract of land out of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place Addition,
to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 256, Page 195
Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, which said 291 square feet of land is more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:

BEGINNING at a "X" cut in concrete, found for the Northeast and beginning corner
of this tract, whence the original Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place
Addition bears West, 7.50 feet and North, 91.12 feet and the Northwest corner of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Block B bears West, 37.50 feet and North, 121,12
feet;
(1) THENCE South, 8.87 feet to a "X" cut in concrete, found for a corner of
this tract;
(2) THENCE South 2031'45" West, 33.80 feet to a "X" cut in concrete, found
in the South line of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place Addition, for the
Southeast corner of this tract;
(3) THENCE West, along the South line of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place
Addition, a distance of 5.81 feet to a "X" cut on concrete, found for the
Southwest corner of this tract and being the Southwest corner of said Lot
6, Block 1, Murphy Place Addition;
(4) THENCE North, along the West line of Lot 6, Block 1, Murphy Place
Addition and being the existing East right of way line of Memphis Avenue,
a distance of 42.63 feet to a concrete nail, found for the Northwest comer
of this tract;
(5) THENCE East, 7.50 feet to the point of beginning.
