Said agreement is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. ARC O, GAL, MAYOR ATTEST: Rebecca Garza, City Secretary APPROVED AS TO CONTENT: C4�0� Tommy C den, Health Director gs/ccdocs/res-Vector Control Services June 28, 2005 Resolution No. 2005-RO311 -nACT No' 6203 — VECTOR CONTROL SERVICES AGREEMENT STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF LUBBOCK § This Interlocal Agreement entered into between Lubbock County, acting by and through its duly authorized representatives, the Lubbock County Commissioners' Court, Tom Head, County Judge, hereinafter called COUNTY, and the City of Lubbock, acting by and through its duly authorized Mayor, Marc McDougal hereinafter called CITY. WHEREAS, the County Commissioners' Court of Lubbock County, Texas, has determined that a need exists for vector control services in Lubbock County outside the city limits of the City of Lubbock; and WHEREAS, the CITY agrees to furnish such services; and NOW THEREFORE, the parties mutually agree as follows: 1. CITY agrees to provide vector control services for the entire area of Lubbock County lying outside the city limits of the City of Lubbock, including incorporated areas within the County. 2. CITY, in providing this service shall pay all necessary expenses of the personnel involved in this service, including salaries, administration expense, fringe benefits, transportation vehicles, and the maintenance and operation of transportation vehicles. 3. The term of this Agreement shall be from July 14, 2005, (the Effective Date) through July 14, 2009. 4. COUNTY hereby agrees and obligates itself to pay CITY for this service in monthly installments of thirteen thousand three hundred sixty three dollars and fourteen cents ($13,363.14). This monthly fee shall be paid by COUNTY to CITY by the 15th day of each month. It is further understood and agreed that in the event additional mosquito applications are necessary, due to heavier than normal rains or an encephalitis outbreak, COUNTY shall pay the actual cost for additional applications in Lubbock County, outside the city limits of the City of Lubbock beyond six per year. Detailed costs of this program are shown in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Vector Control Services Agreement, City of Lubbock and County of Lubbock Page 1 CITY or COUNTY may amend this Agreement at any time, provided that such amendments make specific reference to this Agreement, and are executed in writing, signed by an authorized representative of both organizations and approved by both governing bodies. 6. COUNTY agrees that all payments made under this agreement shall be made from current revenues available to COUNTY pursuant to Section 791.0111 of the Texas Government Code. 7. This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party. Executed this 1 day of 92005. Personnel Services-34% of $205,702.62 (salary and benefits for five vector control workers) 35 weeks x 4 hours x 5 days x 5 employees = 3,500 hours $69,938.89 (a) Clerical Staff-5% of $32,120.40 (salary and benefits for one clerical) 35 weeks x 6 hours/week = 210 hours $1,606.02 (b) Supervisory Staff-15% of $54,103.87 (salary and benefits for one supervisor) 35 weeks x 9 hours/week = 315 hours $8,115.58 B. Supplies (a) Eighty gallons of insecticide per spraying at $35/gallon x 6 applications per year = $16,800 (b) Twenty-four gallons of Bacillus Thuringiensis (BT) to larvacide 350 lakes at $30/gallon x 6 applications per year= $4,320 $21,120.00 C.
