This project is for the demolition and removal of a structure located at 5610 North David Avenue, Lubbock TX. The approximate square footage of this building is 16,000 sq. ft. Debris control will be necessary at all times. Specifications 1. Contractor shall submit with their bid a written Work Plan explaining how the demolition and removal of the building(s) will be conducted. The Plan will be reviewed by the project manager for the airport prior to issuance of a notice to proceed to the contractor. The Plan will include the following information at a minimum; a. The number of persons, methods, equipment and procedures that will be used to demolish each structure so as to not harm any adjacent structures or utilities. b. Written Safety Plan to ensure that appropriate precautions are taken to prevent injury to persons or property. Particular attention will be given to the handling and control of building Materials during windy weather conditions. Safety Plan will also address airport security issues and how those issues will be addressed. Designated access and haul routes the contractor plans to use will be specified. 2. Contractor will remove the building down to the concrete slab floor. Existing trench drains built into the slab floor will be back -filled with suitable material, compacted, and finished with four -inch thick concrete flush with the existing floor slab elevation. 3. There are no plans or specifications available for the building to be demolished. The contractor is responsible for visiting the site and taking any field measurements necessary to develop their bid. 4. The work area will be raked clean of debris upon completion and all debris will be removed and properly disposed of off site. 5. All work shall be performed in a manner that does not interfere with tenant activities and normal operation of the airport_ 6, Contractor will be responsible for locating, marking, and protecting all utilities. 7. Contractor is responsible to have all necessary utilities disconnected from the buildings prior to demolition so as not to impede demolition work. B. Asbestos -- Appropriate handling and disposal of any asbestos containing materials is required. 9, This work area is located outside of the airport perimeter fence. There is no requirement for airport ID badging. 10. Once a notice to proceed has been issued to the contractor the contractor shall provide the airport project manager 48-hour advance notice prior to commencing work. This site is inside the airport perimeter fence and directly abuts an aircraft movement area; debris control will be extremely critical at all times. Specifications 1. Contractor shall submit with their bid a written Work Plan explaining how the demolition and removal of the building(s) will be conducted. The Plan will be reviewed by the project manager for the airport prior to issuance of a notice to proceed to the contractor. The Plan will include the following information at a minimum: a.
