Said Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the Council. Director of Aviation Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport Route 3 Box 389 Lubbock, Texas 79403 Re: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Engineering Services for Construction/Extension of Taxiway Lima: Taxiway Lima Shoulders and Extension of Taxiway B to Taxiway L, Demolition and Re- grading of Taxiway C Dear Mr. Loomis: We have met with your staff, reviewed the project and prepared an Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost (EOPC) to add the additional design components to the above referenced project. Our understanding of the additional scope items and a fee proposal for Task 1 (design), Task 2 (construction) and Task 3 (surveying/testing) is included in the EOPC under Additive Alternate B — Taxiway L Shoulder & Taxiway B. Taxiway Lima Shoulders and Extension of Taxiway B to Taxiway L, Demolition and Re -grading of Taxiway C: Task 1 - Fee for Professional Services (Study and Report, Preliminary Design, Final Design and Bidding/Negotiation, lump sum). $62,300 Task 2 - Construction Phase Services (which includes RPR and construction related Engineering Services, lump sum). $34,200 Task 3 - Surveying and Testing Services, (reimbursable expense). $38,000 TOTAL $134,500 We propose to modify the agreement between the City of Lubbock and Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. dated August 16, 2004 and to provide the task 1 and task 2 services on a lump sum basis under the provisions of the contract, ATTACHMENT B - COMPENSATION. We proposed to provide the task 3 services as a reimbursable expense as outlined under the provisions of ATTACHMENT B — COMPENSATION. Compensation for Design Phase - Task 1, Construction Phase - Task 2 services and Task 3, Surveying and Testing Services shall not exceed $134,500 without Owner's approval.
