HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2008-R0274 - Grant Amendment To Texas State Library - 08_12_2008Resolution No. 2008—RO274 August 12, 2008 Item No. 5.17 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor of the City of Lubbock to execute a grant amendment to the Texas State Library & Archives Commission for an Interlibrary Loan Grant providing support for Interlibrary Loan programs and services and related documents, which grant amendment is attached hereto and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein. Except as set forth herein, all of the terms and conditions of the Original Contract shall remain in frill force and effect. In the event of conflicting provisions or additive provisions causing conflict between the terms of the Original Contract and this Amendment One, the terms of Amendment One shall control. I. CONTRACTING PARTIES: Grantor: Texas State Library and Archives Commission (Commission) Grantee: City of Lubbock IV. GRANT AMOUNTS: A. The amount of the grant is hereby increased by $8,985. The total amount of the grant shall not exceed $114,282. B. The original Budget is hereby amended as follows: Personnel $53,648 Fringe Benefits $28,762 Travel $1,216 Equipment $0 Supplies $2,000 Contractual $3,800 Other $15,391 Total Direct Costs $104,817 Indirect Costs $9,465 Total Budget $114,282 THE UNDERSIGNED CONTRACTING PARTIES do hereby certify that, (1) the services specified above are necessary and essential for activities that are properly within the statutory functions and programs of the Commission and (2) the proposed arrangements serve the interest of efficient and economical administration of State government. The Commission further certifies that it has the authority to contract for the above services by authority granted in Texas Government Code, Chapter 441. The undersigned parties bind themselves to the faithful performance of this Contract as amended. It is mutually understood that this Contract Amendment Number One shall not become effective until signed by both parties below.
