R:jlm �I oy 6 `- i RESOLUTION Qq I'BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK; THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and irected to execute for and on behalf uY the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed to he State of Texas, conveying the land described in the attached conveyance which hall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of his Council shall constitute and be a part of this resolution as if fully copied herein n detail. Passed by the City Council this 9th day of April , 1964. JA—CAKIF, STRONG, Mayor Approved�% enia Lowe, ity Secretary-Treasurer -- __ Ciey Att«n.r QUIT CLAIM DEEM THE STATE OF TEXAS 4 KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, hereinafter referred to as Grantors, whether one or more, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/10O($1.00) DOLLARS, and other good and valuable consideration to Grantors in hand paid by the State of Texas, acting by and through the.State Highway Commission, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien is retained, either expressed or implied, have quitclaimed, and do by these presents bargain, sell, release and forever quitclaim unto the State of Texas all of Grantor's right, title, interest, claim and demand in and to the following tract or parcel of land, situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas and being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: A strip of land out of Section 11, Block E-2, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Loop 289 with the West line of Section 11, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, said point being 1385.8 feet South of the Northwest corner of said Section 11; THENCE North along said Rest line a distance of 521.8 feet to a point; THENCE Easterly a distance of 60.0 feet as measured perpendicular to said West line; THENCE South parallel to and 80.© feet Easterly from said West line, a distance of 161.0 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE Southeasterly along said curve to the left having a radius of 215.0 feet, a distance of 253.4 feet to a point; THENCE South 670 35' East a distance of 686.1 feet to a point, said point being 150.0 feet Northerly from and measured perpendicular to the said center line of Loop 289; THENCE an a curve to the left having a radius of 5579.65 feet a dis- tance of 1412 feet to a points THENCE North 890 57' East parallel to and 150.0 feet North of the center line of said Loop 289, a distance of 22 64.4 feet to a point; THENCE North 640 14' East a distance of 549. 1 feet to a point of curve to the left; THENCE along said curve to the left having a radius of 215.0 feet a distance of 316.3 feet to a point; THENCE Easterly a distance of 60.0 feet to a point in the East line of said Section 11, Bloch E-2; THENCE South along the East line of said Section 11, Block E-2, a distance of 418.E feet pass the center line of Loop 289 in all a distance of 837.2 feet to a point. Said center line of Loop 280 intersects with the Fast line of said Section 11, Block E-2, at a point 1804.4 feet South of the North- east corner of Section 11, Block E-2; THENCE Westerly a distance of 60.0 feet to a point measured per- pendicular to said East line of said section; THENCE Northwesterly on a curve to the left having a radius of 2 15.0 feet a distance of 316.3 feet to a point; THENCE North 840 20' Vest a distance of 549.1 feet to a point; said point being 150.0 feet South of and measured perpendicular to the center line of said Loop 289; THENCE South 89a 57' Vest parallel to and 150.0 feet South of said center line of Loop 200, a distance of 2264.4 feet to a point of curve to the right; THENCE along said curve to the right having a radius of 5879.65 feet, a distance of 1200.9 feet to a point; THENCE South 780 211 East a distance of 727.9 feet to a point, said point being the beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE Southwesterly along said curve to the left having a radius of 215.0 feet a distance of 381.6 feet to a paint; THENCE Westerly a distance of 60.0 feet measured perpendicular to the West line of said Section 11, Block L-2, to a point; THENCE North along the said Rest line of said section a distance of 518.37 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said above described tract of land, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said State of Texas, its heirs and assigns, forever, so that (neither the said City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under it shall, at arq time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid tract of land or appurtenances, or any part there- of.
