RESOLUTION 4 /
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS AND
AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with W.D. Turner Construction
Company (G.W.O. 10,922-A) for the making and construction of street and alley
improvements on portions of numerous alleys, streets and avenues in said City
including among others the following;
Santa Fe Drive from its intersection with a line 7.50 feet
West of the E.P.L. of Slide Road to its intersection with
a line 12.00 feet West of the W.P.L. of 29th Drive known
and designated as Sub -Unit Number 34 of Unit Number 2233.
Sherman Avenue from its intersection with a line 8.00 feet
South of the S.P.L. of 1st Street to its intersection with
the North Property Line of Clovis Road known and designated
as Sub -Unit Number 12 of Unit Number 2234.
80th Street from its intersection with a line 13.00 feet
East of the E.P.L. of Avenue B to its intersection with a
line 13.00 feet East of the E.P.L. of Ash Avenue known
and designated as Sub -Unit Number 13 of Unit Number 2234.
62nd Street from its intersection with a line the 130.00 feet
West of the W.P.L. of Wayne Avenue to its intersection with a
line 16.00 feet West of the W.P.L. of Utica Avenue known and
designated as Sub -Unit Number 14 of Unit Number 2234.
63rd Street from its intersection with a line 540.00 feet
West of the W.P.L. of Vicksburg Avenue to its intersection
with a line 16.00 feet West of the W.P.L. of Utica Avenue
known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 15 of Unit Number
2234.
Wayne Avenue from its intersection with a line 7.00 feet
North of the N.P.L. of the Alley North of 62nd Street to
its intersection with a line 18.00 feet North of the N.P.L.
of 62nd Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 16
of Unit Number 2234.
Vicksburg Avenue from its intersection with a line 7.00
feet North of the N.P.L. of the Alley North of 62nd Street
to its intersection with a line 7.00 feet South of the S.P.L.
of the Alley South of 63rd Street known and designated as Sub -
Unit Number 17 of Unit Number 2234.
24th Street from its intersection with the East Lip Line of
Avenue K to its intersection with the existing stub on the
West side of Avenue J known and designated as Sub -Unit Number
18 of Unit Number 2234.

tnd Place from its intersection with a line 15.00 feet
West of the W.P.L. of Geneva Avenue to its intersection
with a line 400.00 feet East of the E.P.L. of Geneva Avenue
known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 19 of Unit Number 2234.
2nd Place from its intersection with a line 13.00 feet East
of the E.P.L. of Hartford Avenue to its intersection with a
line 15.00 feet West of the W.P.L. of Geneva Avenue known
and designated as Sub -Unit Number 20 of Unit Number 2234.
61st Street from its intersection with a line 18.00 feet
West of the W.P.L. of Vicksburg Avenue to its intersection
with a line 16.00 feet West of the W.P.L. of Utica Avenue
known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 22 of Unit Number
2234.
Vicksburg Avenue from its intersection with a line 18.00 feet
South of the S.P.L. of 61st Street to its intersection with a
line 7.00 feet North of the N.P.L. of the Alley South of 61st
Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 23 of Unit
Number 2234.
AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione
alleys, streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed
in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 10,922-A).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys,
streets, and avenues be and the same are hereby accepted-, and the City Engineer
be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the
parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys, streets and
avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with
law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference
to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
