RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the owner of certain real property within the area south of the present
boundaries of the City of Lubbock in the vicinity of 981h Street and Avenue P to be known
as "Stonebridge Community" has requested annexation of said property by the City of
Lubbock; and
WHEREAS, said area contains fewer than 100 separate tracts of land on which
one or more residential dwellings are located on each tract, which exempts the said area
from the necessity to be included in a City of Lubbock annexation plan pursuant to Sec.
43.052(h)(1) of the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock determined it to be in the
best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to annex said property pursuant to said
request; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT, pursuant to Chapter 43 of the Local Government Code, the
City of Lubbock hereby agrees to grant the request for annexation of the area delineated
on the map attached to the letter requesting annexation, which letter and map are attached
hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Planning Department is hereby directed to prepare a
service plan as required by Sec. 43.065 of the Local Government Code for the area
described on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Planning Department and the City Attorney are
hereby directed to take all necessary actions to prepare an annexation Ordinance for
consideration by the City Council to annex the property described in Exhibit B hereto into
the City of Lubbock pursuant to the Subchapter C-1 procedure of Chapter 43 of the Local
Government Code.

STONEBRIDGE COMMUNITY ANNEXATION
METES AND BOUNDS
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limits line, as established by City of
Lubbock Ordinance No. 8689, said point being 2640 feet East and 660 feet
South of the Northwest corner of Section 10, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South along the present City Limits approximately 660 feet to a point
which is 2640 feet East and 1320 feet South of the Northwest corner of Section
10, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East along a line 660 feet South of and parallel to the North line of
Section 10, Block E, approximately 3300 feet to a point which is 1320 feet South
and 660 feet East of the Northwest corner of Section 11, Block E, Lubbock
County, Texas;
THENCE North along a line parallel to the West line of Section 11 and Section 8,
Block E, approximately 2035 feet to a point which is 715 feet North and 660 feet
East of the Southwest corner of Section 8, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West along a line 715 feet North of and parallel to the North line of
Section 11, Block E, approximately 510 feet to the present City Limits line, said
point being 150 feet East and 715 North of the Southwest corner of Section 8,
Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South along the present City Limits approximately 1375 feet to a point
which is 150 feet East and 660 feet South of the Northwest corner of Section 11,
Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West along the present City Limits approximately 2790 feet to the Point
of BEGINNING; containing approximately 66.1 acres.
