BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in
favor of O. V. SCOTT, BEN STRIBLING, J. C. CHAMBERS, ALAN HENRY, and
SHERMAN A. HOPE, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of
the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be
a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 13thday of Aori 1 1978.

QUITCLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lub-
bock, State of.Texas, for an in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/100 ($1.00)
DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by each of the
GRANTEES hereinbelow named, the receipt of .which is hereby acknowledged, does
hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT
CLAIM unto the said GRANTEES, all its right title and interest in and to that certain
tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, State of
Texas, to each of said respective GRANTEES as indicated below:
1. Unto Sherman A. Hope all the streets and alleys within a certain perimeter
located in Westhaven Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
said perimeter being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Block 6, Westhaven
Addition;
THENCE West a distance of 450.00 feet to the Northeast corner
of Block .5, said addition;
THENCE South a distance of 147. 5 feet to the Northeast corner
of Lot 32, Block 5, said addition;
THENCE West a distance of 400.00 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 17, Block 5, said addition;
THENCE South a distance of 160.00 feet to a point 25.00 feet
South of the Southwest corner of Lot 17, Block 5, said addition;
THENCE East a distance of 300.00 feet, along the Center line
of 3rd Street, to a point 25.00 feet South of the Southeast corner
of Lot 28, Block 5, said addition;
THENCE South a distance of 590.00 feet to the Southeast corner
of Tract 1, said addition, said point also being the intersection
of Fourth Street;
THENCE East a distance of 200.00 feet, along the North line of
4th Street, to the Southwest corner of Lot 19, Block 12, said addition;
THENCE North a distance of 60. 00 feet to the Northwest corner of
Lot 19, Block 12, said addition;
THENCE East a distance of 50.00 feet to the Northeast corner of
Lot 20, Block 12, said addition;
THENCE North a distance of 47. 5 feet to the Southwest corner of
Lot 12, Block 12, said addition;
THENCE East a distance of 200. 00 feet to the Southeast corner of
Lot 5, Block 12, said addition;
THENCE South a distance of 107. 5 feet to the Southeast corner of
Lot 28, Block 12, said addition;

100.00 feet to the Southeast corner of said addition;
THENCE North a distance of 897.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
2. Unto O. V. SCOTT, BEN STRIBLING, J. C. CHAMBERS, and ALAN HENRY,
a portion of 3rd Street between Block 5 ,and Tract 1, Westhaven Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point 25. 00 feet South of the Southwest corner of Lot 17,
Block 5, Westhaven Addition;
THENCE East, along the Centerline of 3rd Street, a distance of 300.00
feet;
THENCE South a distance of 25. 00 feet to the Northeast corner of Tract
1, Westhaven.Addition;
THENCE West, along the North line of Tract 1, a distance of 300.00 feet;
THENCE North a distance of 25. 00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the
rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said
GRANTEES, as above indicated,their heirs and assigns forever, so that neither the
GRANTOR, City of Lubbock, its successors or assigns, nor any persons claiming
under it shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the title to
the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof. ,

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, a Notary Public in and for said County,
