HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 082676F - City Engineer Estimates For Pavement Improvements - Multiple Locations - 08_26_1976087/s7Ce F G.W.O. 10,922 A V (ZnT TTTTnM RESOLUTION DIRECTING ENGINEER TO PREPARE AND FILE ESTIMATES, ROLLS, ETC., IN CONNECTION WITH PROPOSED 1976 ASSESSMENT PAVING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, HIGHWAYS, AVENUES AND/OR ALLEYS IN AND ALONG THE BOUNDARIES OF THE 'CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered and provided for the improvement of.portions of sundry streets, highways, avenues and/or alleys in and along the boundaries of the City as designated below: UNIT AND SUB -UNIT STREET FROM TO 36' Wide Streets 2229-86 79th Street Boston Avenue Elgin Avenue 42' Wide Streets 2229-83 Englewood Avenue 46th Street 50th Street 2229-87 E/2 Elgin Avenue 78th Street 79th Street 2233-8 48th Street Englewood Avenue Elkhart Avenue 52' Wide Streets 2232-2 Locust Avenue 34th Street 36th Street 86' Wide Streets 2233-5 South University Avenue 82nd Street 98th Street 2233-6 82nd Street University Avenue Elgin Avenue 2233-7 50th and Indiana Avenue Intersection flaring 10' Wide Alleys BETWEEN: A-460-12 14th and 15th Streets Raleigh Avenue Quaker Avenue A-460-24 48th and 50th Streets York Avenue Slide Road A-460-25 2nd Place and 3rd Street Indiana Avenue Hartford Ave. A-460-26 Clinton and Dover Avenues 80th Street 82nd Street A-460-27 Avenue J and Avenue K. 6th Street 7th Street AND it is proposed to make and levy assessments against abutting proper and the owners thereof and others for a portion of the cost of such improve- ments. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, THAT: The Engineer of the City be, and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City estimates showing cost of improvements in each Unit, showing the description of the property abutting upon each unit with the names of the owners of such property and the amounts proposed to be assessed against each parcel of property showing other matters and things, it being specially provided, however, that any mistake in such estimates or in amounts and in the descriptions of property or names of owners shall in no wise affect, invalidate or impair any assessment which may be levied. II. Such estimates, rolls and statements shall show all information required to be shown thereon by the proceedings.of the City relating to such improve- ments and the law and charter with amendments in force in the City, and by the provisions of Article 1105B, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas as amended by Chapter 281, Acts of the 52nd Legislature. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 26th day of August, 1976.
