WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock, Texas a Home Rule Municipality located
Lubbock County, Texas, has determined and does hereby determine the
xblic needs, safety, and welfare demands and creates a public necessity for
to widening, constructing, reconstructing, and expansion and improvement o.
uirt Avenue in said City in order to provide better access to the municipal

:complish such purposes, and this City Council of said City finds it to the

IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the fee simple title to the following described real
ate located in Lubbock County, Texas, be acquired for public purposes and
nicipal purposes as set forth in the preamble hereof, to -wit:
A parcel of land containing 0. 061 acre of
land, more or less, out of a 1.00 acre tract
in Section 10, Block A, Lubbock County,
Texas. Said 1.00 acre tract was conveyed
to 01=ence E. Lamb by Frank Gaines by
Deed dated September 12, 1961 and recorded
in Volumes 857, Page 115, Deed Records,
Lubbock County, Texas. Said 0. 061 acre is
more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the East line of
Section 10, Block A, said point bears South
881 4' 29" East, a distance of 5, 280. 00 feet,
thence North 11 55' 31" East, a distance of
495. 00 feet from the Southwest Corner of
Section 10, Block A;
THENCE North 88' 4' 29" West along the
South Property Line of said 1. 00 acre tract,
a distance of 20. 04 feet to a point;
THENCE North 1' 55' 42" East, a distance of
132. 00 feet to a point in the North Property
Line of said 1. 00 acre tract;

North Property Line of said 1.00 acre
tract, a distance of 20.04 feet to a point
in the East Line of Section 10, Block A;
THENCE South 1 ° 55' 31" West along the
East Line of Section 10, Block A, a dis-
tance of 132. 00 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING, containing 0. 061 acre of
which approximately 0.042 acre is in an
existing road.
