HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 041877A - Amendment To Urban Renewal Plan - Community Development Rehabilitation Area 10 - 04_18_1977"RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION AND REDEVELOPMENT AREA NUMBER 10. "WHEREAS, An Amended Urban Renewal Plan for Community Development Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Area No. 10, amended as hereinafter set forth by Exhibit URP III, dated April 18, 1977, and made a part hereof, has been reviewed by and approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Lubbock and by the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock; and "WHEREAS, said proposed Amended Urban Renewal Plan conforms to the general plan of development of the City as a whole and is compatible to the existing and proposed land uses, the thoroughfare plan, and recreational and community facilities of the area; and "WHEREAS, a feasible method exists for the relocation of families or individuals who will be displaced from the Urban Renewal Area in decent, safe and sanitary dwelling accomdations within their means and without undue hardship to such families or individuals; and "WHEREAS, said Urban Renewal Plan, as amended, will afford maximum opportunity consistent with the sound needs of the City as as whole for the rehabilitation or redevelopment of the Urban Renewal Areas by private enterprise; "NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Amended Urban Renewal Plan for Community Development Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Area No. 10, amended as set forth by Exhibit URP III, attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved and adopted."
