HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 041477H - Quit Claim Deed - Abutted Owners - Texas Avenue - 04_14_1977F:lb RESOLUTION IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed in favor of abutting owners of record as their interest may appear to a certain portion of Texas Avenue that was closed by Ordinance No. 2680 as ore particularly described in said Quitclaim Deed, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minute of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copii herein -in detail. assedx_the Ci'�y Council this 14th day of April, 1977. Jri, W Attorney QUITCLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS § KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS — COUNTY OF LUBBOCK § THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1. 00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by abutting owners as their interest may appear to a certain portion of Texas Avenue as.more particularly hereinafter described, hereinafter called "Grantee", the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE and FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all its right title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: The West one-half of Tract No. 4, Texas Avenue, closed by Ordinance No. 2680 on June 11, 1959. Tract No. 4 being that portion of Texas Avenue lying between the North line of 54th Street and the South line of the alley located between and parallel to 53rd and 54th Streets, more parti- cularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is 25. 00 feet West and 477. 5 feet South of the Northwest corner of Block 8, C. N. Hodges Addition of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE South a distance of 132. 5 feet; THENCE West 25. 00 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 20, Block 7, C. N. Hodges Addition; THENCE North, along the East line of said Lot 20, a distance of 132. 5 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 20, Block 7, C. N. Hodges Addition; THENCE East a distance of 25. 00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
