V.1(ERLAS, the City and County of Lubbock bane co-operated for r-a"
years in providing services to the citizens, and
Vamj AA, a specUftc agreement was reached in 1907 to try for shared
services by percentages, to -wit:

said that the Welfare services ashould be adcntotatcred Ly the County and the
health and Llbmry services ahoefd be administered by the City, and
WHEAT AS, such joint proCramsr have proved to be more economical
and tffi.ctent than dual progra=s and have well served the citizens of both
the City and the County, and
WHEREAS, it to in the beat interests of the citizens of the City and
County to coniince all of these shared services, and

precluded other taxtnE entities from providing for medical care to the indt-

WHEREAS, such same has been provided by the Lubbock City -County
Health Department throe b a contract with the Lubbock County Hospital Dis-

LE IT RESOLVE BY THE CITY COIWCiL OF THE CITY OF LUEBOCK AND

THAT the City and County of Ldlbbock continue to provide and ad -Mints -
ter each "red services in the same manner as has proven to he efficient
and effective to ti,e past, &ad
THAT the Cwjnty Comzr.tsartoners Court take actionswhich will allow
and encourage a the Lubbock County Hospital District to continue to contract
with the Lubbock CityCoanty Health Department for v :edtcal care to the
indigento and :a fair and reasonable amount which will reflect are inflationary
factor, and
THAT the terms of this resolution be continued until such time as it to
agreed that alterations of each terms will be for the best Interests of the
citizens which each croup represests,
