RESOLUTICE ACCEPTING IMPROVE'i�i TS CAI PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR
VE-UES AS LISTED BELOGI 9 D ORDERING TEE ISSUANCE CF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDR CE
ASSESS.kM TS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve-
ent ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with L.A. Purtell
.W.C. 2450 for the making and construction of street and/or alley improvements
n portions of numberous alleys, streets and/or avenues in said City including
mong others the following:
North Avenue 110" from its intersection with a line from 58 feet South
f the North Property Line of Auburn Street to its intersection with a line
4 feet South of the South Property line of lst Street known and designated as
ub-Unit Number 16 of Unit Number 1986.
North Avenue 110" from its intersection with a line 8 feet South of the
South Property Line of Baylor Street, to its intersection with a line 8 feet
North of the North Property Line of Auburn Street (East leg) known arid designat-
ed as Sub-Unit Number 29 of Unit };umber 1986.
North Avenue 110" from its intersection with a line 8 feet North of the
North Property line of Auburn Street (East leg) to its intersection with a line
14 feet South of the South Property Line of lst Street known and designated as
Sub-Unit Number 30 of Unit Number 1986.
Avenue 110" from its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South
Property Line of lst Street to its intersection with a line 28 feet East of the
East Property line of Avenue 110" known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 31 of
Unit Number 1986.
Avenue "N11 from its intersection with a line 14 feet North of the
South Property Line of lst Street to its intersection with a line 13 feet North
of the North Property Line of 2nd Street known and designated as Sub-Unit Number
40 of Unit Number 1986.
North Avenue "M" from its intersection with a line 8 feet South of the
South Property Line of Baylor Street to its intersection with the North Propert
line of .lst Street known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 44 of Unit Number
1986.
North Avenue "K" from its intersection with the North Property Line of
Lot 2 Block 1 Wayside Addition to its intersection with a line 13 feet North of
the North Property Line of lst Street known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 46
of Unit Number 1986.
lst Street from its intersection with a line 13 feet West of the 1+est
Property Line of Avenue L to its intersection with a line 8 feet Fast of the Ea
Property Line of Avenue J known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 49 of Unit
Number 1986.
East 4th Street from its intersection with a line 13 feet West of the
West Property Line of Beech Avenue (South leg) to its intersection with a line
15 feet West of the West Property Line of Cherry Avenue (North leg) known and

East 4th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the
West Property Line of Cherry Avenue to its intersection with a line 13 feet East
of the East Property Line of David Avenue (South leg) known and designated as
Sub-Unit Number 13 of Unit Number 1987.
AND WF.ETZAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovemen-
tioned alleys, streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have
been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract G.W.O. 2450.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEKAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets,
and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Fhgineer be
and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost
and to release escrow money.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed
to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied again-
st the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/o
avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with
law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with refer-
ence to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
III.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the paving improvements constructed by L.A.
Purtell, paving contractor,•under his contract dated December 1, 1959,
designated as G.W.C. 2450 and find the improvements on Avenue N. Avenue
0, Avenue M, Avenue K. 1st Street, and East 4th Streetp as listed on
the final estimate and assessment sheet to have been completed in accor—
dance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept
the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to
the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolifated final esti—
mate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock and issue assignable certi—
ficates against property owners for the respective amounts shown on the
attached final assessment sheets as being due against them and their re—
spective properties.
