HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 091175C - Street Improvements - Commercial Concrete Construction Co - GWO - 09_11_1975RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVE- NUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Commercial Con- crete Construction Company (G.W.O. 10,836 6 10,836A) for the making and con- struction of street and alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys, streets and avenues in said City including among others the following: East one half of Bangor Avenue from its intersection with the North Lip Line of 58th Street to its intersection with a line 420 feet North of the North Pro- perty line of 58th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2230. West part of Slide Road from its intersection with a line 177 feet North of North Property Line of 54th Street to its intersection with a line 736 feet North of North Property line of 54th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2233. East 15th Street from its intersection with a line 12.00 feet West of the East Property Line of Vanda Avenue to its intersection with the East Lip Line of Teak Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 22 of Unit Number 2229. Teak Avenue from its intersection with a line 11.75 feet North of the North Property Line of East 15th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with the North Lip Line of Idalou Road known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 23 of Unit Number 2229. Avenue N from its intersection with a line 2.00 feet North of North Property Line of 65th Street to its intersection with the Alley North of 65th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 25 of Unit Number 2229. 48th Street from its intersection with a line 27.00 feet West of West Lip Line of Elkhart Avenue to its intersection with a line 27.00 feet West of West Lip ine of Chicago Avenue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 3 of Unit Number 2230. 49th Street from its intersection with the West Lip Line of Chicago Avenue to its intersection with a line 16 feet West of West Property Line of Elkhart Ave- nue known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 4 of Unit Number 2230. Elkhart Avenue from its intersection with a line 16.00 feet South of South Property Line of 48th Street to its intersection with a line 16.00 feet North f North Property line of 49th Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number of Unit Number 2230. t one half of Detroit Avenue from its intersection with the North Lip Line 4th Street to its intersection with the South Lip Line of 3rd Street known designated as Sub -Unit Number 4 of Unit Number 2231. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovemen- ioned streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to -have been con- tructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 10,836 & 10,836A). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City`s portion of the cost. IL That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed t xecute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against he parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the.streets and venues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with aw and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with re- erence to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied III.
