HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 072860O - Pavement Improvements - Kerr Paving Co - Briercroft Addition - 07_28_1960 RESOLUTICN RESOLUTION ACCEPTING I1,TROV!M,'TS ON PORTIONS OF STRMTS AND AM4UMS AS LISTED EiELC T: IRMREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Otdinance 1331, the subdivider of Briercroft Addition, made arrangements with Kerr Paving Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Briercroft Addition including the following streets: Temple Avenue (concrete only) from its intersection with a line 13 feet South of the South Property Line of 54th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 56th Street (East Leg), known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 814. Avenue T from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 54th Street to its intersection with a line 15 feet North of the North Property Line of 56th Street,, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 815. Avenue S from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 55th Street to its intersection with a line 10 feet North of the South Property Line of 56th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 816, 55th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet East of the East Property ,... Line of Avenue "Tit to its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the West Property Line of Avenue "Sits known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 817. 56th Street from its intersection with the East Lip Line of Temple Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet Test of the West Property Line of Avenue "S" (North Leg), known and designated as Unit Number 818. Special Paving adjustments at the intersection of 54th Street and Avenue 'IT". AND NHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accord— ance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. i This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. Senter, Jr., C' Attorney r CITY OF LUBBOCK CK� TEXAS July 28, 1960 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Paving Company, paving contractor, under his contract with the subdividers of Briercroft Addition and find the improvements on Avenue "S", Avenue "T", Temple Avenue, 55th Street and 56th Street as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with qhe plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him-by the City of Lubbock.
