TEXAS, DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS HEREIN. y /N WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock, Texas, owns a Parcel of land same being a portion of Princeton Avenue North of Lot 5, in the Allbrick Subdivision and the North portion of a North-South alley along the West side of said taaxt--described as metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 5, Allbrick Subdivision to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; A THENCE North W0311 East along the West right of way line of Loop 289, as established in the field by the Texas highway Department, to a point in the North line of Princeton Avenue; THENCE West along the North line of Princeton Avenue a distance of 13.4 feet to a point in the East side of an alley line;. THENCE continuing West a distance of 10.4 feet to a point in the West line of a North-South alley; THENCE South along the West line of a North South alley a distance of 88.67 feet to a point in the West line of Loop 289 right of way as established in the field by the Texas Highway De- partment; THENCE North 15T0311 East along said Loop 289 right of way to a POINT OF BEGINNING. WHEREAS, it has been determined that said land is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was acquired; and, WHEREAS, it will be to the benefit of the City of Lubbock to Quit Claim and renounce ownership in said property to P. L. Payne, Jr.; and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of said P. L. Payne, Jr. to acquire said land from the City and it has been determined to the best interest of the City that same be conveyed to him; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LUBB THAT the land hereinafter described by metes and bounds be conveyed to P. L. Payne, Jr. by quit claim deed, quit claiming to him the property described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 5, Allbrick Subdivisionto the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North 15'0311 East along the West right of way line of Loop 289, as established in the field by the Texas Highway De- partment, to a point in the North line of Princeton Avenue; 1 THENCE West along the North line of Princeton Avenue a distance of 13.4 feet to a point in the East side of an alley line; THENCE continuing West a distance of 10.4 feet to a point in the West line of a North-South Alley; THENCE South along the West line of a North-South alley a distance of 88.67 feet to a point in the West line of Loop 289 right of way as established in the field by the Texas Highway Department; THENCE North 15103" East along said Loop 289 right of way to a POINT OF BEGINNING. and the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute such Quit Claim Deed for and on behalf of said City of Lubbock, the execution of such Deed to be attested by the City Seceetary who is hereby directed to affix the seal of said City of Lubbock to said document in evidence thereof.
